Lori's paternal grandparents, Bill Stofft and Lorraine (Raddatz) Stofft were both accomplished musicians.

They met performing in different groups in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area in the 1930's

Bill Stofft played drums and vibes, mostly. He told me once that he didn't take a date to his

high school senior dance because he'd been hired to play. A true musician.

Bill Stofft (seated) in his trio, Three Shades of Gray. Lorraine Stofft (far left) in The Coquettes (isn't that the best name?)

Bill Stofft (third from left) in the Bill Stofft orchestra, which played hotels and

restaurants around the twin cities area. The lead singer is down in front.

Lori visits Murray's Steakhouse in downtown Minneapolis

50 years after the Bill Stofft Orchestra played there.

Check out Murray's here and here.
